Niagara College’s environmental efforts were in the spotlight on May 24, when it was honoured with the Niagara Sustainability Initiative’s Most Engaged Member Award.
Niagara College hosted the Ontario College and University Sustainability Professionals group on May 26 and 27 to share best practices and experiences on how to expand initiatives on campus.

Niagara College has partnered with the Niagara Sustainability Initiative (NSI) to assist the college in measuring and managing its carbon emissions. Niagara College is a founding partner of NSI, alongside Brock University, Walker Industries, City of Welland, and other partners in the Niagara Region since 2011.
NSI is a not-for-profit organization focused on improving environmental and economic performance by engaging the community to reduce carbon emissions, enhance sustainability and improve economic performance. NSI’s mandate connects government, industry, community and academia to advance the environmental and economic performance in the Niagara Region.
