Interested in learning more about BioBlitzes? You have come to the right place!
A BioBlitz is a volunteer-based event that involves the collection of a biological inventory of a specified site. BioBlitz’s typically occur during a fixed time, usually 12 to 24 hours, and provides a snapshot of the biodiversity found in the location. Community members, scientists, naturalists and enthusiasts are invited to participate in guided walks, workshops and various other relevant activities.
The Niagara College BioBlitz Program Guide is a comprehensive toolkit for how the Office of Sustainability plans and executes our biannual BioBlitz events on site at our Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. This toolkit provides the necessary instruction and resources to successfully plan and execute a BioBlitz event; all we ask in return is that you let us know about the event so we can do our best to come out and participate!
